EMMY - Killoff

COMPLETED:

ORIGINALS:

1- Name & Description
The name of this ad is "Killoff", a parody of the vodka Smirnoff. This depicts a crach scene and a bottle of "Killoff" beside it, showing that drinking can greatly influence the senses while driving.

2- Why I chose to create a spoof ad of this advertisement- Rationale
I chose to create a spoof ad of this advertisement because I wanted to show the dangers of drinking and driving and that it can injure or kill anyone - passenger, driver, and pedestrians.

3- Desccribe the things you did and the steps you took to create your new ad.
I put together two different images that I found off the internet to create this public message on photoshop. First I deleted the white background of the smirnoff bottle, then replaced the word "Smirnoff" with "Killoff" on the bottle of vodka. Changing the name of the vodka gives it a warning effect for the viewers. Then I put the line "Accident? Or consequence" on the ad because there are no accidents when driving under the influence, there are only consequences.

4- If you were to do a similar assignment again, what would you do differently and what would you need to know?
If I were to do a similar assignment, I would probably challenge myself and choose a more difficult ad to spoof.
